Stayed in the Falcon’s Nest in September 2019. Great breakfast, friendly staff, very safe.
The only word I can think of to describe this hotel is spectacular. I was in doubt between 3 hotels when I decided to go to Rothenburg, and when I got there I was very happy to have chosen this one. The Hotel is wonderful in all aspects, beautiful architecture inside and out, so traditional that it feels like you are going back in time when you enter the hotel. The rooms are extremely comfortable, everything very clean and very well disinfected every day. The breakfast is wonderful, everything fresh and well organised, eggs freshly made by Erika. I was extremely impressed with how the Hotel has adapted the breakfast well with covid restrictions, this was the only hotel during my vacation in Germany that I can say that adapted everything 100% without compromising the experience of their customers, everything comes separated in small pots, tables are setup apart and cleaned regularly. The location is great, 5 minutes from everything and lots of parking spaces close to the hotel. Now, Erika and the team are to be congratulated for everything and for being so customer focussed. Erika is a great host and has a hilarious sense of humor. She will go above and beyond to make sure her guests are happy. She went over to where I parked my car to make sure I had parked in a permitted place. Erika and Team thank you for making our holiday even more special, we will see you in 2021.
Very nice rooms, everything clean and well-kept. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet under Corona conditions. Everything simply packed in Weck glasses. Mega idea
Very tasty food, nice restaurant. Staff was very friendly and prices are good too. Would definitely come again!
Second time there and we always love to come back. Top location, nice service and good food. For us address number one in Rothenburg
Super cozy. In the middle of the medieval city. Breakfast - everything was delicious and fresh.
One of our favorite hotels in Europe. If you want to stay someplace that really _feels like_ Germany, this is a good choice. It's a quick 5 minute walk off the main square, but out of the tourist crush and so quiet at night. There's a wide variety of rooms, all with creaky German ambiance, which is a nice change from corporate, cookie-cutter hotel rooms. The service, the breakfast, and the restaurant are all first rate. I always look forward to coming back to Klosterstüble.
Here you can be pampered. Nice staff and a good kitchen.
Nice, well-kept hotel with a good restaurant. Rooms are very neat and tastefully decorated in a Bavarian style. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good and plentiful and at 10 euros not too expensive. We'd love to go back again.
Super cozy, funny rooms, great food, a great (Corona) breakfast and right in the middle ?
Unfortunately only drank one beer ?. But staff is nice and friendly.
Homemade food with fair prices. Bavarian, Swabian cuisine in a very nice setting. We felt very comfortable. Price, performance and quality absolutely recommendable.
The Klosterstüble is a very nice hotel with excellent cuisine. The atmosphere is familiar and friendly. Any time.
Very cozy and clean. Hygiene concept well implemented. Gladly again.
Clean and well-kept small cozy hotel! Very nice, friendly and helpful hosts! Breakfast was great and well organized even in Corona times, when no buffet is possible! We would love to come back!
Very nice. A really great hotel. We would love to come back.
Great tourist hotel in the old town near the West end. Good breakfast. Amazingly helpful staff -- they helped me find a place to park, which is not easy in town. Don't use Google maps to get here; it routes you on pedestrian only streets. Ask the staff for directions before you arrive.
The Falkon's Nest is the perfect romantic honeymoon room! Matched with the fact it's right in the middle of city center and the Christmas Markets, couldn't of asked for a better hotel! Thank you Hotel Klosterstüble!
Beautiful hotel with a nice restaurant and good food. My room had a lovely view and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely return!
Comfortable room and a good, hearty meal in the restaurant.
Great staff and attention to detail. Wonderful breakfast, dinner and wine recommendations. Very clean, very comfortable. A great place to call home while in Rothenburg.
Superb overnight stay in this mediaeval, walled city, famous also for their Christmas museum and for filming Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! Stayed 1 night, a Tuesday, unfortunately on the day their restaurant was closed. This historic hotel is beautifully finished inside. Our studio apartment on the top floor was immaculate, super comfy, we slept like babies. Strong shower, bathrobes, tea and coffee making facilities plus an open system at entrance when you just need that cheeky, one glass of wine more! ? Breakfast was superb. Great staff and efficient service. Loved it. Just needed more time there, as the restaurant looked amazing.
Nice and cozy hotel, nice staff at the front desk. The hotel room is a bit dark and noisy, yet we liked the rustic atmosphere. Only criticism: a bottle of water in the room would not be nice. The food in the restaurant was very good.
Excellent service, food, and rooms! Incredibly friendly and helpful while having a toddler. We hope to stay here again.
I have been coming to this hotel for the past 7 years for the Taubertal Festival. I can only but recommend it. It is absolutely charming and beautiful, it still preserve its old medieval charm. The bathrooms have been renovated to more modern style with great taste and offer great modern amenities. Very clean, but the best thing is the service, very friendly and heartwarming. Breakfast here is a must, great variety, plus you can have eggs any way you want them. Breakfast is served from 07:30 to 10:30 which is more than enough. Restaurant at the hotel I can also recommend, they offer traditional regional food, everything is delicious, the portions are very generous and the prices are fair.
Beautiful extremely clean place!! Breakfast was like walking into a presidential sweet; was amazing!! Erika, Erika, Erika, was sooooo sweeeeet and amazing. I will be back. Already miss this place!!!
Rothenburg is hidden in the gourmet shop in the lane, delicious meals, delicious
Nice little hotel in the city center of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The Burggarten nearby invites to a walk with a great view of the Tauber Valley. Very nice staff and fair prices. Very nice courtyard and knight's armor at the reception ?
The hotel was so adorable and staff was beyond helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great every morning! We really enjoyed our stay minus the heat wave that came through ha!!! :) The location was perfect and within walking distance of everything in the town.
Very nice hotel. Really appreciated the room with canopy bed. Perfectly in the style of this beautiful city, just the bathroom is maybe too tiny. The location is perfect, just few minutes walk from the city center. The breakfast is not included but highly suggested. Fresh eggs made to order. Fresh orange juice and good coffee.
I asked for "Maur Taschen" which was recommended in the guidebook. It seems like local food. The set of salads included lettuce, sunny lettuce, cucumber, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, something white (boiled radish?), Boiled eggs, and I was very grateful for the trip of vegetable shortage. . Maul Taschen, which is essential, has a shape similar to dumplings, but the texture is thicker and moist than the dumplings. The ingredients inside are a mixture of chopped vegetables and meat, similar to dumplings, but they taste different from dumplings. It was hard to express, but it was more fleshy and without any peculiarities, it was delicious. The price was conscientious, and the clerk also felt good. Please come and see.
Recommended. Excellent traditional German / Bavarian food and drink, very reasonably priced. Cosy, delightful traditional decor. Nice people.
Absolutely loved this small but comfortable hotel in the centre of Rothenburg. The room was cozy and felt authentic and historical. Very friendly staff as well. Will definitely return.
There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Additional bed for infants available. Hubd was not a problem either.
This review is about the restaurant and not the hotel: Restaurant is decent enough but the staff is extremely slow and inattentive. The food is good. The restaurant is extremely hot in the winter. They turn the heat up way too high.
Lovely boutique hotel. We stayed in room 22 on the top floor. Comfortable beds, fantastic staff who explained how everything works, spacious room and good views. I loved the walk in shower and very modern bathroom. You have mini bar in the lobby on the honour system. It has the water, wine, prosecco and beer you need. Our room has a kitchenette with a sink and small hob. Less than 100 yards to the market square. I will definitely stay here again. Make sure you get the pumpkin soup at their restaurant!
What a great little find! We were grateful to find a hotel that had a separate room for our 4 year old and he absolutely loved the bunk beds! The rooms are clean and cozy, and the hotel itself is extremely well located. The staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke fluent English which we were thankful for since we only knew a few words in German (I know, typical tourist right?). Would happily return!
Having stayed in hotels throughout the U.S., Europe, and Africa, I will have to say this hotel is the most charming of all! The cleanliness was excellent and the beds were super comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best ones we have had at a hotel and more than worth the 10 euro charge. The setting is one-of-a-kind, just inside the ancient walls of the imperial town. Wished we could have stayed for several days.
Nice location in city centre.
Good price, food was ok. Beer was perfect.
Beautiful rooms. Friendly staff. Great central location
A quaint old place that was lovely. The breakfast was outstanding!
Small, old (in a good and historic way), and charming. Friendly staff and a nice breakfast. It is in such an amazing little village (Rothenburg), that anything newer would have been out of place.
Historic building. Amazing breakfast right near the center of it all.
The hotel is quietly located near the center of the city. The staff is super friendly, works with pasie, likes to tell you something about the area and likes to chat! The breakfast is good, small but fine. Upon entering the small room you were allocated a place and asked if you would like something to drink (coffee and tea (including the price of breakfast)). Service is great! Room was fine for one night. The entire hotel is decorated in the medieval atmosphere, just like the rooms, so these are somewhat dated, but it looks nice. The only minus point is that there is no lift, so you have to lug around all the suitcases and such. In short: top service and very friendly staff, the hotel exudes beautiful and cozy atmospheres. Room is fine. 17-08-2018
Great location in the historic town.
I was there with my son. We stayed in a large room. It was very beautiful. The hotel building is very old, but well renovated. The location is great and all the people were very friendly.
Fine place to stay in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It is located in middle of the Old Town, so you can reach anything by walk. Staff was very nice and helpfull.
This is a lovely place in a good location a short walk from the square. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in this sort of place. Along with the usual selection, it included eggs cooked to order and plenty of fresh hot coffee.
Nice and cozy location. Traditional German food well prepared and presented. Recommended
